Suzanne Lacey Alterations

2022

Co-organized by the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, I was invited to perform in Suzanne Lacy’s "Alterations". I worked as a performance artist, sewing & making alterations on clothing to reflect on the labor of the historic migrant community in San Francisco’s garment district. I embroidered and hand sewed clothing as part of the performance. This performance installation, Alterations, was on view at SFMOMA’s Floor 7 gallery as part of Suzanne Lacy: We Are Here, the first full retrospective for pioneering social practice artist Suzanne Lacy.
